We believe that regular and extended time in nature has benefits well beyond the educational and environmental aspect. Time spent in nature has a positive effect on the well-being of an individual.

Summer Nature Camp, 2024

Our home base will be at Assumption School, located at 225 Parnell Rd.  It’s a short walk away from Malcolmson Eco Park, where exploration stations will enhance the natural child-lead, nature-based activities that are the hallmark of our Nature Camp!

We are a short walk away from the Welland Canal, Sunset Beach, Port Weller Splash Pad, as well as other green spaces and parks!

Our programs are designed to create a setting that is child-lead/democratic, naturally inclusive and nature-based.

Each week, we allow Nature and the Children to determine the focus. What will be the theme of the week? The answer will depend on the children’s activities – one week it may revolve around short stories and novels, while the next week we might be campaigning to save baby toads or setting up a store to sell our creations.

Experienced and trained facilitators provide resources to support the children’s interests and establish an inviting environment where children have a safe yet adventurous space to explore.
